Coulee Region Woodturners

Regional art associations build better communities by providing leadership in public art projects and cultural tourism. The Coulee Region Woodturners group is a grassroots organization with a link to the American Association of Woodturners. The Coulee Region Woodturners group is based in southwestern Wisconsin and southeastern Minnesota surrounding the Mississippi Valley Region (named the Coulee Region by early French explorers in reference to the limestone ridges of the area).  This volunteer group publishes a monthly newsletter and sponsors several enrichment workshops each year with visiting artists. The long-range goal of the group is to further the knowledge of the many facets of woodturning in this artistically rich and diverse area.  Arts Preservation is assisting the Coulee Region Woodturners in the process of formalizing a 501 (c)3 organization status to further the outreach and educational efforts of this group of skilled craftspeople.  To learn more about the Coulee Region Woodturners, visit their website at: www.crwoodturner.com.
